  2. Introduction Tenders are basically bids for large projects that are issued by the government or various other institutions. They have a fixed deadline attached to them. An RFT or Request for Tender contains all the information for suppliers, so that they can judge the work and put in their bids. When it comes to the private sector, a Request for Tender is referred to as RFP (Request for Proposals). The tenders are segregated into different categories, like if you need consultancy, you would search for Consultancy Services Tenders.

  3. Consultancy Services Tenders : - Consultancy services tenders help organizations or individuals to find the best suited consultants for a particular task whether it is in the field of architecture, design, teaching, training, etc.

  4. What are the different types of tenders? There are mainly 4 types of tenders that are used by organisations namely open tenders, negotiation tenders, selective tenders, and term tenders. Choosing which type of tender needs to be followed depends on factors like complexity and nature of the contract, the expertise required and such other reasons.

  5. Open Tenders:- Open tenders are the ones that are offered to all parties without any discrimination. The announcement is made through newspapers to ensure a wider reach. The notification generally contains key information about the task.

  6. Negotiation Tenders:- A negotiation tender involves a party approaching one particular client and then negotiating their terms. It is generally based on a previous relationship that the party and client share or the track record of the client. Selective Tenders:- Selective tendering is when organisations or individuals send out their tender notification to a selected list of potential clients who have proved their worthiness through their previous contracts.

  7. Serial Tenders:- Serial tenders are generally based on a national bill of quantities where the rates can be used to define similar projects in the future.
