  2. Introduction You were in Africa walking in the wild and you hear something laughing behind you. You turned around and there were 3 hyenas. You were scared and amazed at the same time.

  3. Fierce Looking • Hyenas are the only animal born with teeth. • Hyenas have red fur. • Hyenas look like dogs. • A Hyena’s front legs are longer than their back legs. • Hyenas are large and can hear well . • Hyenas have dark spots.

  4. I Got To Eat Meat • Hyenas are carnivores. • Hyenas eat every part of their food. • Hyenas are predators. • Hyenas • Hyenas are carnivores. • Hyenas eat every part of their food. • Hyenas are predators. • Hyenas only eat meat.

  5. Hard Work • Young hyenas are called cubs. • Mom hyenas feed milk to their cubs. • When hyenas are born they weigh 3 pounds. • Female hyenas have three to four young each year.

  6. Keep Away • Lions are a hyena’s enemies. • Hyenas steal food from lions. • Hyenas kill other animals if they come into hyena’s territory.
