  2. What Is Coliform? • It is the commonly-used bacterial indicator of sanitary quality of foods and water. They are defined as rod-shaped Gram-negative non-spore forming organisms. • One of the things that come up often when testing is E. Coli Coliform Bacteria

  3. Data for Coliform Colonies Testing E. Coli or Fecal Coliform = 2 Colonies Colonies per mL (CFU/mL) Water quality index 91 Total Coliform Colonies = 7 Colonies per mL (CFU/mL)
