  3. الكوثر • A river in Jannah, fountain • Abundance good (الخير الكثير) • Many followers, drinkers, lots of drink will have lots of benefit • Prophet-hood seal, imam ulanbiya • Best character • Mercy: SuratTawbah • Quran: See vs Hear, preservation • Justice • Victory: 23 yrs, other prophets didn’t have it, best example • Honors: Qibla, maqamanmahmood, shafa’a, called by name • إن الله وملائكته يصلون على النبى يا أيها الذين آمنوا صلوا عليه وسلموا تسليما • Katheer can be good or bad, kawthar is only good • After all this good, how do you thank Allah?

  6. إن شانئك هو الأبتر • Clearing doubt: no power, control, response • Addressing messenger, ignoring kuffar • عدو: enemy wishes to hurt you, defeat you • بغض: plus hatred • شانئك: plus hides hatred (worst enemy) • هو: not rasul • Abtar: cut of animal’s tail, humiliation, son carries father’s name • Cut off from everything • Don’t make fun of others • Miracle: Allah heard it • Believers are the followers of the deen • Millions will curse and humiliate disbelievers till end of time • Contrast: cut-off and nothing vskawthar • They thought they had plenty (peace & prosperity) • Verb vs noun • All enemies are powerless: ash cloud, Namrud
