  2. Hey Jude, The Beatles Hey Jude, don't make it bad Take a sad song and make it better Remember to let her into your heart Then you can start to make it better Top 10 Songs of 19681. Hey Jude, The Beatles2. Love Is Blue, Paul Mauriat3. Honey, Bobby Goldsboro4. (Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay, Otis Redding5. People Got to Be Free, Rascals6. Sunshine of Your Love, Cream7. This Guy's In Love With You, Herb Alpert8. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Hugo Montenegro9. Mrs. Robinson, Simon and Garfunkel10. Tighten Up, Archie Bell and The Drells Back in the 1968’s, their songs where a part of their life. The songs had meaning, feelings, and emotions. They actually meant something to them. I think “Hey Jude, The Beatles” reflects the times of the 1968’s because in the song he says, “Remember to let her into your heart.” I think that this is a love song. To me I think he’s talking about how he feels about a girl, and to never forget how to love. This song express a lot of emotions.

  4. Drugs have become a very serious problem in the United States. They have become a component of someone’s life every day. Depression on the other hand is a totally different. People who do drugs for depression use them to try and get out of the hard situations.Peoplewho use drugs for pleasure are using them because they are looking for a good time and think It’s cool. Drugs are used daily by all different ages. Teens get in alcohol related accidents. More and more people are getting addicted to alcohol and are running their lives. Sure, it does give them a good feeling for a while, but once one gets addicted it can totally ruin their life. A person might just start to smoke once in a while, but before no time, they are addicted to it and there’s no turning back. Cigarettes are probably the easiest drug to get a hold of. When a person smokes, they not only put themselves in danger but they put other people in danger also because of second hand smoke. Nicotine, which is what gets people addicted, can cause many illnesses. It is known to cause lung cancer but the list goes on. It is a very dangerous and bad habit to get into. Smokers say that when they smoke they become relieved and very calm. Smoking might heal one problem but in return causes many more. Alcohol and cigarettes or other drugs should not be the answer to depression. There are other ways to deal with that other then drugs or alcohol. No matter what the use of the drug is for it always ends up turning out bad. If a person is considering using some drug for pleasure, depression, or medical relief I would strongly reconsidering their choice.

Kennedy was assassinated. While he was in office the U.S was involved in the Vietnam War. President Johnson attended the launching of Apollo at Cape Kennedy, Florida.

  10. Muhammad Ali He was a boxer, philanthropist, social activist. His real name is Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr. He was born on January 17, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky. He grew up in segregated areas. Muhammad Ali has shown that he is not afraid of anybody. At the age of 12, he discovered his talent for boxing through an odd twist of fate. His famous quote is “fight like a butterfly sting like a bee.” He is one of the top American boxers. Was the only professional boxer to win the heavy-weight championship three times.

  11. Being a Teenager in 1968 My name is Ponyboy Curtis. I’m a fourteen year old teenager in 1968. I’m known as a greaser. A greaser is a hood, best known for a bad influence. For example a person who steals, break laws and do bad things. Well life as a hood is hard. Although I do bad things I’m just like other children. My favorite band is The Beetles. My favorite television show is The Brady Bunch. I really enjoy watching boxing, my favorite boxer is Muhammad Ali. I’m smart straight A’s and I run track. I have a lot on my hands to deal with. I had to deal with the sudden assassination of Martin Luther King , Jr. We also had our share off deaths . I lost two of my best friends , there names were Dally and Johnny. Anyways back to more about the things going on in my life. My parents died in a car accident earlier this year. I live with my big brothers Soda and Darry. Soda is more of the laid back, more understanding type of person. Darry is stricter on me because he expects more from me. Darry works very hard just to make ends meet. So basically he supports our family. That’s about it , nothing else is really going on in my family. Well now my social life I’m in a gang. Unlike most gangs, the gang members and I are like brothers. I know that their there for me anytime I need them. As you can see 1968 was not the best year off all time , but we figured out way to make it better.
