GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL SYSTEM M D M P U N J A B • Helpline at Telephone No. 0172-6541673 remains operative 24 hours. • Complaints received are dealt with at the head office, district office or schools immediately. • School heads inform head office directly at telephone no 0172-2600119 if they get any problem regarding Mid-Day-Meal. • Online Grievance Cell has been setup by the teachers

Steps Taken To Enrich The Scheme M D M P U N J A B 1) In addition to the regular Menu "Kheer" as sweet Dish is provided once a week in all the schools. 2) Use of Double Fortified Salt with Iodine and Iron has been made mandatory for preparing Mid-Day-Meal in schools. 3) To inculcate the habit of washing Hands before and after the meals, Soap has bee provided in all Govt. schools 4) To curb the menace of malnutrition Health Deptt., Pb has worked out a formula for calculating BMI. The formula has been sent to all schools to screen students against this formula proper record is being kept and special attention is being paid to the children who are below the level of normal BMI involving teachers, NGOs and parents. 5) Steel Utensils for taking meals have been provided in all the Government schools at a cost of Rs. 8.60 crore. 6) Training of Cook-Cum-Helpers has been made a regular feature and more than 1000 Cook-Cum-Helpers have been given training .
