  22. The Underwriting and Commission Processes From Submission to Issue

  23. Applications may be submitted by fax or mail. PHI Point of sale PHI will make issue time faster! If not point of sale, underwriter will order and pend for its completion. M.I.B. and drug database check. If clean application and PHI done at point of sale: Policy should be issued within 5 days of receipt. If not clean application: Additional information may be requested (i.e. APS). Issue time will increase and commissions may be delayed until all information is received. The Underwriting Process

When submitting application for policy by fax: Include all requested banking information Completely fill out authorization form on application When submitting application for policy by mail: Include check or money order in the amount of premium needed. Commission will be paid out the fastest if the above requirements are met. Commission will be paid out after a policy is issued and premium is applied to the policy. What may cause commission payment to be delayed? Client requests not to draft premium until specified date. Policy is issued C.O.D. Banking information is not received upon submission of application. Check or money order is not received at the time of application submission.
