  2. Living with roommates might be hard and it gets harder when you haven’t left the house in months. • The COVID-19 restrictions may be lifted but novel coronavirus is still out there outside. • That means you have to keep yourself safe by staying home. To maintaining your sanity along with making sure you and your room partner are safe and healthy, here are few new rules you want to lay down at your homes.

  3. STAY INSIDE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE YOU CAN • This one is extremely important during this novel coronavirus pandemic. • It will ensure you, your roommate, and as well as others safe from this vicious infection by slowing the spread of the virus. • If you or your roommate do need to leave for any reason, like going to work or grocery store, don’t forget to take full precautions. • Always wear a mask and gloves, try to make them a habit. • Also, take hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes with you and avoid touching your face until you have safely reached home and washed up. • If you brought something, disinfect them too just in case they are carrying germs.

  4. STAY 6 FEET APART • You might be live in the same house, but try to maintain social distancing standards with your roommates. • You both can still do almost everything you guys normally would while maintaining a distance of 6 feet, whether it is cooking, eating, or watching TV.

  5. CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN • Keep your house clean and regularly disinfect it. • You can take turns for cleaning common areas, and you both can do your part to clean up after yourselves. • Make sure to wipe down counters, tables, doorknobs, sinks, toilets, and other frequently touched surfaces with disinfectant wipes. • Along with your house, don’t forget to keep yourself clean too. • You might not go anywhere; despite that, you still need to shower and have good hygiene to avoid any type of sickness. Wash your hand often. So, do these things and keep germs from spreading and lower your risk of infection.

  6. DON’T HAVE PEOPLE OVER • Staying home doesn’t mean you should let others in. • During this time, don’t allow anyone to come into your house. • As you don’t know whether they have been in contact with someone who has coronavirus. • It might seem harsh, but it is essential to protect yourself and your roommates from getting infected. • Make sure you both are on the same page so they don’t let anybody come over, either.

  7. OPEN COMMUNICATION • Being holed up in your home for months, you will probably start to notice things that you don’t before and get annoyed with each other. • To cope up with this situation, make sure you interact with each other openly. • Let your roommates know how you are feeling and ask them how they are doing too. • It something is bothering you, tell them so you can solve the problem together. • Try to understand each other so that they will there to help and similarly you if they are feeling the same.

  8. GIVE EACH OTHER ALONE TIME • Give each other the same space, and set aside time to be alone if the person wants and relax each day. • So, you won’t feel annoyed or overwhelmed altogether. • Take a few minutes to do yoga asanas and mediate. • You can also read or watch a TV show by yourself to decompress and get your thoughts in line.

  9. WHAT TO DO IF ONE OF YOU GETS SICK If you or your roommate get sick, unfortunately, here are the steps to follow • Self-isolate, stay in your bedroom. • Disinfect each time a sick person touches anything • Let the sick person wear gloves and a mask if they leave their bedroom. • When cooking for a sick roommate, the healthy roommates should take extra care to not come in direct contact with the sick roommate. • Leave the sick roommate’s food outside of their door or wear gloves and a mask when taking food to the sick roommate.

  10. LAST MASSAGE Be responsible and do your part to stay safe and encourage your roommates to do the same. Always be cautious, be clean, and stay home. Remember “Precaution is better than cure”. This will help you with keeping yourself and others safe! THANK YOU FOR WATCHING
