  11. Travel Team Committee (TTC) Active committee members: Karl Argall Tom Carney Ryan McGinnis (leader) June Mogensen Boyd Randerson Bill Rein Timm Weyenberg Mike Winius Goals: • Provide players that have desire and ability an opportunity to play on teams that play against other top teams in the state. • Provide a high-level of competitiveness and a challenging environment so that skills of each player will be enhanced both physically and mentally as an individual and as a teammate.

  12. 2012 Travel Team Guideline Highlights: 1. Open tryouts will be held for all interested participants. Evaluators for each tryout will consist of individuals assigned by the KHS Head Baseball Coach and the TTC as well as the head coach assigned to that team if one has been assigned at that time. Coach will communicate to players and players’ parents regarding cuts in a reasonable amount of time (within one week). 2. Participants must live or attend school within the Kimberly School District to be eligible for participation. 3. Roster size will typically be a minimum of 10-12 players with a maximum number to de determined by the team coaches. Coach’s discretion. Evaluations need to solidify that a player is skilled enough so as not to be a hazard to himself or his teammates from a safety standpoint. Also, see #7. 4. Each player must be in the starting lineup in at least every other game, and all players should participate in approx. ½ of the team’s total number of innings for the season. Exceptions may be allowed, at the coach discretion, based upon attitude, discipline, or absences. 5. All teams are required to conduct a mandatory parent’s meeting to review schedule, expectations, fees, and pitching guidelines. 6. Pitching schedules must be communicated with league coaches and parents. Coaches will adhere to all tournament pitching requirements. In all cases, coaches are to error on the side of caution, acting in the best interest and safety of the pitcher. (*Pitch counts and mandatory rest are beginning to be discussed)
