  1. Cheesecake By Louis Armstrong

  2. Louis Armstrong • Born August 4th 1901 • Died July 6th 1971 • Nicknames: Satchmo, Dippermouth, Ambassador. • Married Lucille Wilson

  3. RHYTHM • This music plays with a swing Rhythm were the eighths aren’t equal to each other but one is held a little longer than the next so that it has a swing affect.

  4. Rhythm cont. • The rhythm in Cheesecake can be very uplifting, it has this affect because the song is constantly driving forward and not ever dragging.

  5. Tempo • There is a constant tempo in the song, you can tell because if you start tapping your foot at the beginning of the music you can keep tapping at the same speed the whole song and not have to speed up or down.

  6. Tempo cont. • The tempo for the song you are listening to is pretty moderate, not too fast and not too slow, this gives the song a very relaxing feel because you aren’t struggling to keep engaged or struggling to keep up.

  7. Percussion The drums help to keep the rhythm of the song steady and also give a nice crisp texture to the piece while still not being overpowerful.
