  2. Why Should You Go To ENC? • Really small campus • People are extremely nice and awesome • There’s a great courtyard to relax in • The food in the café is great • There’s plenty to do • It’s close enough to Boston • It’s a private college, small private college • It’s freaking awesome!

  3. What can I major in? • There are about 30 majors • Within are over 50 concentrations • Majors: Biology, Business, Chem., Comm. Arts, Criminal Justice, Education, Engineering, English, Environmental, Gen. Science, Gen. Studies, Gov’t, Health Sci., History, Int’l Studies, Liberal Arts, Math, Movement Arts, Music, Philosophy, Physics, Pre-Law, Pre-Med, Pre-Nursing, Pre-Phys. Therapy, Psych., Religion, and Social Work. • Concentrations: Some include: Journalism, Theater, Early Childhood Education, American Hist., Euro. Hist., Music Theory, Contemp. Music and Recording, Child Psych., Bible Lit., Sociology, Computer Engineering, Accounting, Sports Management, Pre-Dental, Pre O.T.,

  4. Admissions! • Required: 2.0 GPA • 1200+ on SAT, (480+ in each section) • No SAT IIs required • General H.S. grad. Requirements • 4 years English • 1-2 years History …..2 recommended • 2-4 Years of a language…..4 recommended • 2-4 Years of Math ……4 recommended • 1-2 Years of Social Science ….2 recomended • 1-4 Years of Science ….. 4 recommended

Admissions of College Board • No Application Fee • Admission requirements: • Interview required, Essay(s) required, SAT Reasoning Test or ACT • Very important admission factors: • Character/Personal Qualities, Class Rank, Application Essay, Interview, Recommendations, Rigor of secondary school record, Standardized Test Scores, Academic GPA, • Important admission factors: • Extracurricular Activities, Religious Affiliation or Commitment, Talent/Ability • Considered: • Volunteer Work, Work Experience, Level of Applicant's Interest

Life at ENC • There’s TONS of things to do on campus • Drama groups, Theater productions, Academic Clubs, Volunteer Clubs, Sports, Singing Groups, Choirs, Group Studies • Sports: NCAA Division III (Whatever that means) • Men: Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Soccer, TennisGirls: Basketball, Cross Country, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Volleyball • Plenty of intramurals • No Greek Life whatsoever! • Colors: Red, White and Black

Dorm Life • Single Sex dorms • Single, double or triple rooms • Married apartments for married couples • “Open Dorms” allotted at time or else no guys in girls room and vice versa • Bathroom has 3 stalls, 2 showers, 1 tub/ shower, and 2 to a floor. • Freshman have a 12:30/1am curfew 1st semester • Quiet Time is 10pm-7am • Dresser, Bedding, and Closet are provided

  8. So Where is this place? • It’s in Quincy, Mass • It’s suburban. • 10 minute walk from Wollaston T-Station • 5 minute walk from Quincy Square • 5 Minute walk from Wollaston Beach • 6 miles from Boston • 15 T ride from Boston (Red-Line)

  9. Classes! • Strong Science Classes • I visited an A&P lab (14 students) • Cat dissection of Repro. Sys. and Urinalysis • Chemistry of Life Class (9 Students) • Learned about Lipid Hydrolysis • Intro to Cell Biology(15 students) • Learned about responses and Hormones • People still txt in class, eat breakfast, and pass notes! (High school all over again?)

Student Body • There’s about 1200 students on campus • About 700 undergrads! • Faith Based: 30 different denoms., 30% belong to Church of Nazarene (Protestant), Not required to have a religion, Non Christians too • 85% live on campus, others commute • Very Diverse student body • Over 22 countries represented • Students are very involved with the school

Could I see my self going here? • Definitely!!! • I know a good amount of students already • I love the campus, and know it well • Professors seemed nice • Food wasn’t bad • Lots of events, and welcoming people • They have Pre-Med!!! • They have a daycare on campus that I can work at, and there’s other work studies

Tuition/Scholarships • Tuition: 10,640/ semester (Same for both in/out state) • Student Fees: 367/ semester • Room/Board: 4000/ semester • Total: 29,927 for whole year • Scholarships: SAT based • President’s Scholar: 2250+ on SAT or 34+ ACT, 3.7 GPA, top of class: Full tuition, Room and Board • Munro Scholar: 2100+/32+ on SAT/ACT, high class rank, leadership, ect: Full Tuition • Deans Scholar: 2100/32+: 9,000 a year • Honors Scholar: 1800-2092/ 27+: 8000 a year: That pays for one year total • Academic Scholar: 1500-1790/21+: 6000 a year: Free tuition for a year! • Opportunity Grant: 1500 a year. For students who didn’t receive any of the above, and keep a GPA of 2.0+

  17. What I Thought? • I absolutely love ENC • Admissions counselors are really nice • I love the smallness of it • Its easy and convenient to go places from the T, especially home or Boston. • They give out nice pens and T-Shirts • People there were really nice
