  2. ContextCBP Executive Council Agreed Action re: State 2-Yr. Milestones June 2010 – The Executive Council stated that The 2011 Bay Barometer will be revised to provide a vehicle for reporting on each partner’s progress on implementing their milestone actions and achieving the accelerated nutrient and sediment reductions committed to in May 2009. Nov. 2010 – The PSC accepted the MB’s recommendation that milestone tracking not be included in Bay Barometer

For MB Discussion & Decision • HOW to report on milestone progress… • Recommendation • Create a printed, concise “Summary” document (4 pp max.) • Describes the concept of milestones (both State and coming TMDL) • Contains simple top-level statement of ea. state’s progress to date • Contains some graphs or charts that reflect top-level statements • Text & info for this document to be generated from data from states for 2010 progress run • Audience: Media, EC guests, general public • Answers the basic question: How is each state doing so far? • Date Complete: EC Meeting (May) • ChesapeakeStat will show detailed tracking of states’ progress • Tracking info supported by BayTAS and same data as above. • Audience: Educated media, Bay stakeholders (watershed groups, state agencies), educated public • Date Complete: EC Meeting (May) • WHAT to report on re: milestone progress… • For discussion! • Suggestion….keep it simple! • Report on Nitrogen – Percentage reduction? • Report on Phosphorus – Percentage reduction?
