We never transgress the rules of verb tenses in our writing. The key to a healthy relationship is to never transgress the mutual trust.

After having problems with alcohol, Roger decided abstinence was the best route. Event though giving it up would be tough. Many men and women choose sexual abstinence before getting married.

  4. (n) Active hostility or opposition. antagonism Word of the Day! The antagonism between Republicans and Democrats in the House of Representatives is causing the government to stay closed. The major antagonism in Anthem is Equality’s individuality and the society’s strict collectivism.

  8. (n) trust, sociability amongst friends camaraderie Word of the Day! When people work together towards a common goal they develop camaraderie. Mr. Langan and Ms. Perez hope that our class starts to look out for each other and build camaraderie.

  11. (n) A companion who shares one’s activities or is a fellow member of an organization. comrade Word of the Day! Mr. Langan is excited to go to the English Teachers convention and see all his literary comrades. It is a great comfort to have comrades who share your beliefs.

  12. arid (adj) extremely dry or deathly boring Word of the Day! Mr. Langan way dying for a drink of water to quench the arid feeling in his mouth. The students could not listen to Mr. Langan’sarid lesson any longer.

  13. assiduous (adj) persistent, hard-working Word of the Day! Denise’s assiduous attitude in Mr. Langan’s class will earn her a great grade. Sometimes Mr. Langan thinks students don’t realize the assiduous efforts he makes everyday on their behalf.

  14. (v) to criticize harshly censure Word of the Day! If you don’t do good work, your boss may censure you. Students often censure each other for no reason. This is also known as bullying.
