  3. What is Sundae On A Monday? “Sundae On A Monday” is a Holiday dedicated to ice cream lovers and people who need a break from the everyday monotonies. It is celebrated the first Monday in August.

  4. It is near the 4th of July and Labor Day although it is far enough away. Sundae on a Monday is a unique holiday because it is celebrated the in August and no other holiday involves eating ice cream. It is Placed the first Monday in August because August is a summer month. The hot weather will welcome the celebration of an ice cream holiday Competition

  5. How to Celebrate... Take a special someone out to eat and order the sundae first. Buy one of our lovely Sundae Cards with special “Sundae Bucks” that give you a dollar off at Dairy Queen. Throw a sundae party, the possibilities are endless.

  6. Target Demographic This is a holiday targeted toward children, families and those young at heart. This target was chosen because children like ice cream and their families will most likely spend money on their whims.

  7. Launch Strategy Hallmark plans to launch Sundae on a Monday by many commercials and advertisement on children’s TV networks. Also to familiarize people with the holiday, flyers and posters will be placed near ice cream parlors.

  8. Merchandise Sundae glasses and bowls could be sold. Mock t-shirts could also be marketed from this holiday, such as a “Sundae School” shirt or an “I watch Sundae Night Football” shirt.

  9. A Definite Success Many families buy ice cream year-round, so why not profit from it. By creating a Sundae holiday Hallmark can open up and indulge in a whole new market, increasing sales and customers.
