SSA’s National Squad Strategy • SSA has appointed a National Coaching Director, Mr Dirk Lange • A National Squad Strategy has been developed and implemented: • 5 Squads Swimming, 4 squads OWS • 100 swimmers & 16 Open Water Swimmers • 34 black swimmers & 4 black OWS • 40 female swimmer & 7 female OWS • 31 coaches (13 black)

Transformation Policy • Draft policy (revised) • Awaiting SASCOC directive to finalise policy to ensure alignment • Targets set for national level • Targets set for each province, and to be translated to clubs • Holistic plan, considering athletes, administrators, coaches, team managers, officials, etc.
