  2. Bluebell hotel in Middlesbrough This is the hotel where all the people from Spain (Catalonia), Portugal, Poland, Denmark, Austria and the Netherlands of course slept.

  3. Beverley School It is a new building. The ground floor is for primary education (primary classes) The first floor for secondary education (secondary classes).

  4. Staffroom There are a lot of staff at Beverley School, sometimes as many as four adults for eight pupils all in one class!

  5. Comenius project In one of the display cases in the hallway showed the partner countries in our project.

  6. Hostess Wendy of the Beverley School welcomed us. She is the co-ordinator of the project.

  7. Early Years classroom. Class 1 This is the classroom for pupils 4 and 5 years old.

  8. Class 1 Students from the first class using their PECs books to ask for snack. Leerlingen uit die groep.

  9. Class 2 Lots of individual help for pupil’s with their work..

  10. Workstation The students do not have a fixed place, they sit where a spot is free to learn to work on their own tasks.

  11. Computer In a separate room, the computer. Pupil’s can work without distraction in a room joined to the classroom.

  12. Choice board There are photos to help the pupils choose and request what they want to play with.

  13. Soft play room This space is used to interact with pupils on a 1:1 or in a small group to help their communication skills.

  14. Class 6 In the older groups there are more workstations. These pupils are 9 & 10 years old.

  15. Playgrounds Safe places to play surround the school. There are many small and large areas so that a range of activities can take place.

  16. The Common Room The students of the secondary classes may stay inside when it is playtime in the Common Room.

  17. Food Technology Here delicious thing s are cooked and baked like pizza and cookies.

  18. Café On Wednesday mornings each week, all students in the school are welcome to eat in the cafe. The students of the Secondary classes prepare the food, take the order, serve and collect the money as well as part of their work related learning.

  19. Lunch All students take a turn to go for lunch in the canteen. There is a wide choice of food it is very busy and noisy but everyone knows what to do.

  20. Wynyard Hall All together, we went to a beautiful country house for Afternoon Tea. Sandwiches and cakes with tea or coffee.

  21. AfternoonTea A delicious English treat.

  22. Performance Pupils and teachers have prepared a musical performance evening in the school gym. Parents of the students who participate are also invited.

  23. Christmas Dinner We tasted an English Christmas dinner, The evening was enlivened by a ukulele band.

  24. Tour of Middlesbrough Students from Beverley School designed a tour of the local area and acted as Tour Guides. They made a tour leaflet to accompany the tour.

  25. Captain James Cook According to the British Captain James Cook discovered Australia (according to the Dutch he was not). He was born at least in Middlesbrough.

  26. Tour near the River Tees The football stadium "Boro“ as they call the local team and a great work of art in the foreground, Temenos.

  27. Transporter bridge A very famous bridge over the River Tees. The cars hang from the bridge to be moved to the other side in a “cradle” suspended from the top.
