Celebrating Diversity on the Floor: A Community Bulletin Board Initiative

DESCRIPTION

This bulletin board, submitted by Rebecca Tallman, Resident Assistant at SUNY Cobleskill, showcases a picture of nearly every resident on the floor. Each resident has shared their name, national origin, ethnicity, and campus involvement, highlighting the rich diversity within our community. This initiative not only illustrates the differences and similarities among residents but also fosters connections by allowing opportunities to share interests and other information. It serves as an excellent starting point for enhancing community relationships at the beginning of the year.

  1. Diversity on the Floor Submitted by Rebecca Tallman, Resident Assistant, SUNY CobleskillOn this bulletin board includes a picture of almost everyone on my floor. In addition to the picture, residents wrote their name, national origin, ethnicity, and their campus involvement. My information was included as well. This is a great way to illustrate the differences and similarities that exist between floor residents. You could list interests or other information as well. This is a great board for the start of the year. See picture on next slide…
