  2. FSW Status • B1-0-7 successfully uploaded to LAT on 2/10 • Regression test successful • Uploaded VXW enables machine checks for uncorrectable memory errors and sets SDRAM refresh rate to 7.5 us • B1-0-8 (one package modified) will be ready for upload on 2/19 • B1-0-8 is launch-ready • Ground software • DFI, Q-packages, and CMX being finalized prior to L-60 software freeze • B2-0-0 planning underway • No work has been started GLAST Monthly FSW

  3. B1-0-8 • B1-0-8 contains one FSW change, an issue identified during the GRB Handling test: • FSW-1052: Change LAT FSW (LIM) to send SACSLEWREQUEST telecommand to SC with RA/DEC in units of degrees instead of arcmin • LAT-SC ICD did not specify the units for this LAT to SC telecommand: will be modified to specify degrees • LAT-GBM ICD specifies arcmin for all telecommands exchanged between LAT and GBM: no change - continue to use arcmins • LAT and GBM alert telemetry report in arcmins: no change - continue to report in arcmins • No interfaces other than the SACSLEWREQUEST telecommand are affected by this change. GLAST Monthly FSW

  4. B1-0-8 cont’d • B1-0-8 development schedule: • Development underway; completion estimated by 2/14 • Roll B1-0-8 on 2/15 • Regression testing on testbed: 2/16 - 2/19 • Perform targeted tests to verify the LIM change • Repeat FQT tests, emphasis on LIM modes and GRB messaging • B1-0-8 ready for upload to LAT by 2/19 • B1-0-8 upload to LAT and regression: • B1-0-8 will upload one 33 kB file to one processor (the SIU) • Recommend uploading at same time as LAT configuration upload to save time switching from SIU-R to SIU-P • Regression test (on LAT): • Piggyback on LAT configuration upload regression • Run repeat of GRB handling test to verify change GLAST Monthly FSW

  5. FSW Ground software • In anticipation of Mar 17 software freeze, release all necessary FSW ground software tools • Development is underway in three major areas: • CMX • The CMX tool is now capable of handling code “offshoots” • Allows FSW to maintain the B1-0-8 branch while developing on a B2-0-0 development branch • FSW will make no attempt to merge the two branches at a later date; that’s why we call them offshoots • DFI • Make filter statistics and filter summary data accessible to offline processing • This information is vital to offline, but will not be delivered until ~ 10 days prior to freeze • Various Q packages • Representation of low-rate science counter data • Tools for LATC verification and cracking LATC dumps GLAST Monthly FSW

  6. Other • Reboots • See Pat Hascall’s presentation • FSW is measuring the effect of running with only one EPU • FSW is helping to develop a strategy for diagnosing and recovering from reboots on orbit • B2-0-0 • Scope of work • ~35 items to work on in various packages • Estimate ~ 3 months effort by FSW group • Roll out of these items will be staged to allow stress testing on Testbed prior to installation on LAT • Work on B2-0-0 will happen in a development environment separate from B1-0-8 • B2-0-0 items will be prioritized based on availability of resources within FSW • FSW will consult with ISOC and science groups to verify completeness of list, prioritization, and need • Once LAT has agreed to changes, a roll-out schedule will be presented to a broader audience GLAST Monthly FSW
