  1. Salute of SEVEN JULY Ye Htut (IFBNC; 88GSE; NLDLA) July 7, 2011

  2. Like that for Our Student History

  3. Let us solute Our Heroes • “Seventh July is the historic day on the Burmese history on which day in 1962, unarmed university students sacrificed their lives against the Military Government. Students were massacred and Student’s Union Building was dynamited down together with the students inside. Since that day students became the RESISTENCE SYMBOL and used to spearhead the successive uprisings against the illegal Military Rulers.”(Maha Bandula, Burma Digest)

  4. Fight against Military Dictatorship • “Rangoon university student protests started against the Military coup on 6 July 1962. On the 7th of July 1962 there were demonstrations against the Ne Win’s military government and the government retaliated with severe measures. Aung Gyi and Tin Pe were the most senior officers and Sein Lwin was the field commanding officer in the university region. No on exactly know who gave the orders to open fire.”(Maha Bandula, Burma Digest)

  5. Seven July will forever as Our History Foundation • “On July 7, over 130 stubborn or diehard or brave would be martyr students who were demonstrating in the student’s union building in the campus of Rangoon University were dynamited and brutally killed by the army.”(Maha Bandula, Burma Digest) • “The historic student’s union building was destroyed into pieces. The 7 July student’s massacre was merely a blood-stained on the Tatmadaw but they could not suppress the students’ spirit of going on fighting against the militarism. The arrest, torture and imprisonment could not crush the spirit of the fighting peacock or the revolutionary student protests.”(Maha Bandula, Burma Digest)

  9. Origin of Problem • “The historic Rangoon University Student Union [RASU] was chosen by theHostel Union as the rallying point to protest against the Hostel Rules onJuly 7, Saturday at 1 PM after the classes. The students rallied on time, the RASU's fighting Peacock flags were flying high, thousands of anti-juntaposters were pasted, and, one after another, student leaders gave speeches.More and more students gathered in front of the Student Union and becamequite agitated. The main gate that led to the Convocation Hall on theAdipadi Road was closed as the soldiers were posted along the fences of theRASU and the University Compound along the University Avenue.” (By U Aung, July 6, 2002, Bangkok.) • “As time wore on agitation were channeled into action. Rector U Kar's andhis son's cars were pulled out from U Kar's residence compound on to theAdipadi Road and torched them as a punishment for accepting such Rules. Mass of students gathered at the closed main gate and pouring out slurs against the soldiers: "I alone have 12th standards, I supposed three of you combined would not even get to 4th standards?” (By U Aung, July 6, 2002, Bangkok.)

  10. Proof • 3 Military trucks loaded with full of death bodies by military operation in July 7, 1962. Those bodies carried away and disappeared after that

  11. Who are Murderers? • “On July 8 in the early wee hour the historic Rangoon University Students'Union was dynamited. Brigadier Aung Gyi, knowing the back ground of General Ne Win too well, just assumed that Ne Win would not object the demolishing of the Union building. Young Shu Maung had an intense ill feeling against the Rangoon University. While attending Senior Intermediate, a hostel student Shu Maung was caught with a prostitute in his room in one evening by a young Junior Warden U Pe Maung Tin. U Pe Maung Tin, if he could have his own way, would have taken only disciplinary action but Senior Warden, an Englishman pressed charges and Shu Maung was expelled not only from the hostel but also from the University. Shu Maung became vehemently jealous of other students who later led the independence movement from the RASU main battleground that drove the British and the Japanese out of Burma.” (By U Aung, July 6, 2002, Bangkok.)
