Most adults know what to do (so why don’t they) • Just because you know does not mean you will do. • Why don’t we exercise the way we have been told we should? • What keeps you from exercising regularly? • Where can you find time in your day? • What if I’m a complete beginner? • What to do when you feel stiff and old. • Strength training will not make you bulky.

  3. Sit Better • Sit with your eyes forward • Sit with good posture • Feel your body more frequently during the day • Sip water periodically during the hour

  4. Stretching improves awareness • Stretch your chest and Upper Back at mid day • Stretch your Legs at the beginning and end of the day • Stretch your back and shoulders in the evening before bed • Stretch your mind to remember your body before it hurts • Stretch after exercise

  5. Strength will make things easier • Even Body Weight exercise can be enough • Include movement in more than one direction to improve strength • Core strength is not just about your abs • A stronger but can help reduce back pain • Strength training helps reduce Pain receptors • Lifting weights helps reduce insulin sensitivity • Strength training done properly improves brain function

  6. Shop with Health in mind • Shop for fresh vegetables • Shop with longevity in mind • Eat what you buy • Use a list- keep your retirement in mind both finance and health • Have will power at the grocery store once so you don’t have to have every day at home. • Make your kids eat healthy so you don’t have kid food around as much

  7. Success comes from failure • Just because you want to be perfect does not mean you will be. Keep trying. • Get help if you need it. Your health journey is a life long quest. • Define what being successfully healthy means to you. • Plan to be healthy in retirement by creating healthy habits when you are young.
