The LaoInfo project, initiated in 2004 as part of the National Human Development Report, aims to synchronize data collection and dissemination for the successful implementation of the National Statistical System. With strong support from organizations like UNICEF and UNDP, it has trained nearly 200 staff members across ministries. While Lao PDR shows progress towards achieving MDGs, challenges persist, including limited resources and technology. The establishment of a LaoInfo network across key ministries strengthens national ownership and data utilization for socio-economic planning.
