  2. So Much Curiosity, So Little Knowledge • “I only know the names of two angels, Hark and Harold. (a five year old boy). • “Everybody’s got it all wrong. Angels don’t wear halos anymore. I forget why, but scientists are working on it.” (girl, 9 years old) • “It’s not easy to become an angel! First, you die. Then you go to Heaven, and then there’s still flight training to go through. And then you got to agree to wear those angel clothes.” (boy, age 9)

  3. “There’s an invisible grid… • Around our planet where unseen forces deploy. • Dan. 10:12-14; Eph. 1:21; 2:2; 3:10; 6:12 • Angels work with and for God. Some rebel – Jude 6; 2 Pet. 2:10. • 34 of 66 Bible books mention angels. • 108 times in OT, 186 in new. • Angels, archangels, Seraphim, Cherubim, “living creatures”, Satan, demons

  4. Satan Has His workers • Matt. 25:41 – Hell was created for them. Also home to unrepentant souls. • Rev. 12 & Dan. 10 show a battle. Michael and his forces prevail. • Rev. 20 God “speaks” and the victory is total.

  5. Work of Angels • Luke 16:22 – carried Lazarus to paradise. What an escort! • Acts 8 & 10 – put preacher and student together. • Acts 5:19; 12:7 – released Peter from prison. • Acts 12:23 – Punished Herod • Acts 27:23 – protected Paul at sea. • Matt. 4, Luke 22 – ministered to Jesus at temptation and in garden. • 2 Thess. 1:7 – with Jesus at second coming.

  6. Angels and Providence • Gen. 16 – Hagar • Gen 18 & 19 – Abraham and Lot • Gen 22 – Abraham and Isaac • Gen 28 – Jacob and ladder • Dan. 6:22 – Daniel and the lions.

  7. Angels Experience… • Joy – Luke 15 • Curiosity – 1 Pet. 1:10-12 • Free Will – Jude 6 • No indication of a savior – Heb. 1:3; 2:9-10, 16-18 • Amazement, surprise – I Cor. 4:9

  8. If We Could Only See • 2 Kings 6:15ff • Guardian angels? Matt. 18:10 • We’re not in this fight alone. The victory belongs to the LORD.
