  2. Introduction • In this Chapter the variety of ways by which motion can be described (words, graphs, diagrams, numbers, etc.) will be discussed

  3. Inertia • In the animation, the person in the car is not wearing a seat belt, the car is moving, it hits the wall, the person fly’s out of the car. INERTIA is why this happens

  4. Forces Are Balanced

  5. The First Law • An object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
