Child Mental Health Study: Understanding Disorder Patterns and Health Care Responsiveness in Ontario

This study aims to examine the levels of child mental health disorders, patterns of disorder over time, and the responsiveness of the health care system to the mental health needs of children and youth in Ontario. It will also explore the impact of environmental influences such as neighborhoods, schools, and families on child mental health. By analyzing data from children aged 4-17 and their primary caregivers, the study seeks to identify areas for improvement in resource allocation, assess the effects of income inequality on child mental health, and advocate for social justice issues related to child mental health. The findings will contribute to enhancing the prospects and conditions for all children and youth.
