Objective : • Improvement drive to reduce R/1000 & PPMeq • Quality Culture deployment through Innovative, Kaizens, Pokayoke & QC Story • Horizontal Deployment of good practices • Enhance motivation of Officers & Operators • Recognize & Appreciate efforts of all stake holders Who Can participate : • All Direct Material suppliers of Mahindra & Mahindra ( Auto Division, MVML – Chakan, MNAL, MNEPL, Mahindra FES) 1

Co-Creation Competition 2013 • Kaizen : Small Improvement done by Officers( Level 1) & Operators ( Level 2) at supplier premises between 16th June 12 to 20th Aug 13 • It should be related to PPMeq, R/1000 ( Proactive or Reactive ) & Productivity • Pokayoke: Error Prevention & Detection improvement done by Officers( Level 1) & Operators ( Level 2) at supplier premises between 16th June 12 to 20th Aug 13 • It should be resulted into reduction of R/1000,PPMeq or Inhouse rejection ( Proactive or Reactive ) & Productivity • QC Story: Systematic problem solving approach for resolving complex concern • This is applicable to only officers level Human Error Prevention: Systematic problem solving approach for Human error related concern, This is applicable to only officers level Best Practice - Change Management : About your systematic approach for change management ( This include Process, Product & System), This is applicable to only officers level New Competition KaunBanega Quality King :a Quiz on Quality Knowledge,This is applicable to only officers level

  5. If your Self assessment score is above > 60 You will be shortlisted for Quarterfinal

General Guideline • This competition applicable for • Level 1 : Officers • Level 2 : Operators • Each Supplier can submit Max 3 entry for each level ( Officers & operators ) from each plant, ( Suppliers having more than 1 plant can send separate entry, Ex. ABC – Gurgaon plant can send 3 entry & ABC – Noida can send 3 separate entry ) • Entry should be received between the start date & end date of each competition • Entry will be sent in the attached format only, you can attached back up file with the same • Improvement should be done in the period of16th June 12 to 20th Aug 13

  7. How to Submit Entry For Auto division & MVML Suppliers: On e SQA site http://www.esqa-vendor.com/sites/ESQA/default.aspx You will receive detailed process flow in next mail

Competition Evaluation Round Received Presentation from individual suppliers Commodity wise Top 10 suppliers will be identified as Winner for each competition Scrutiny Round at M&M – Nashik (Evaluation based on presentation) Semi Final Round at CIDCO-Nashik & Haridwar, Pune (Evaluation based on physical presentation by external jury members) Commodity wise Top 3 suppliers will be identified as Winner for each competition Sector wide Top 3 suppliers will be identified as Winner for each competition Final Round at M&M –Nashik, Nov’12 (Evaluation based on physical presentation by external jury members)

  9. Evaluation Criteria – Kaizen & Pokayoke Time : ( 7 Min Presentations + 3 Min Questions-answers) Time : ( 7 Min Presentations + 3 Min Questions-answers)

Evaluation Criteria – QC Story • - Why the problem was selected (Concern reported in Year F11, F12 & F13 ) • - Usage of appropriate QC Tools • - Structured root cause analysis • - Effectiveness of the corrective actions • - Impact on business results (Effectiveness, Reduction in PPMeq, R/1000 or Defect per Vehicle ) • Presentation delivery in terms of co-ordination, clarity, fluency and covered the content in given times • Time : ( 8 Min Presentations + 3 Min Questions-answers)

Evaluation Criteria – Human Error Prevention • Effectiveness of solution • brainstorming for solution ( Nos of Solution) • Waste elimination & result • Employee involvement • Type of tool applied ( Prevention/Detection ) • Horizontal Deployment & Sustenance Plan Based on the Project identified during training – attending training is Must for participation in this competition Training has been planned at Chennai, Nashik & Haridwar location 11

Evaluation Criteria – Best Practice - Change Management • Uniqueness • Linkage with Business process & Policy Deployment • Deployment Process & Approach • Deployment of Change up to grass root level – How ? • Relation with PQCDSME (Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Moral, Environment) • Future Plan & Way Ahead • Best change you have implemented So Far – a Success Story • Time : ( 15 Min Presentations + 5 Min Questions-answers)

  13. Guideline for Quality Quiz : Kaun Banega Quality King • Quiz on Quality history, Quality tools & techniques, Quality new trend, Quality best practices • Anybody, any level officials can participate • For each vendor code there is 1 team • There will be 4 Round : Qualifying,Qtr Final, Semifinal & Final • Up to Qtr Final Round, whole supplier plant can participate • In Semifinal & Final, 2 members per vendor code can participate • Final Round will be at Nashik in Nov’13 • Quiz will be online & off line both – You will get guideline in Sept’13
