Vehicle Growth Trends in Hyderabad City and Cyberabad Area

Hyderabad has seen a substantial increase in its vehicle count, with approximately 23.5 lakh vehicles registered in the city and 6 lakh in the Cyberabad area. This surge includes around 600 new vehicles added daily in Hyderabad and 2.5 lakh vehicles annually in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) region. Projections indicated that this number could surpass 45 lakh by 2015. Amid this growth, the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project aims to address the increasing vehicular chaos, which had reached about 29.5 lakh vehicles in the GHMC area.
