  2. IE9 Testing • IE9 Release Candidate – February 10th • General IE9 Development • E-forms • Thick Client • Small Dependencies on IE • Overall uninterrupted use of Thick Client

  3. OnBase With IE9 • All OnBase Versions 8.2 and prior do not work • OnBase 9.0, 9.2, 10.0 may work with Limitations in Compatibility Mode • WORKFLOW IS BROKEN • FOLDERS ARE BROKEN • ETC. • Recommendation • Wait to install IE9 • Test your other applications that depend on IE

EXAMPLE • Options • If you have Modules that are all in the first column (Modules that work with IE9) and none in the second column (Modules that do NOT work with IE9 ) then it is safe for the customer to deploy IE9. • If you have Modules in the second column or both columns then customers should: • Not Deploy IE9 OR • Uninstall IE9 OR • Upgrade their OnBase database to the OnBase IE9 Compatible version and set • up an OnBase IE9 Compatible Web Server to service those users running IE9.

  5. IE9 • Protection: • IE9 Blocker Tool Kit • IE9 can be cleanly uninstalled • Best not to get yourself into this situation • IE9 Cookbook (Breaking Changes) • IE9 Runs On • Windows 7, Vista SP2 & Higher • 2008 Server SP2 & Higher, 2008 Server R2 • 32 Bit

OnBase 11 - IE9 Web Server • OnBase 11 Pre-Release IE9 Compatible Version • Available Shortly after IE9 Comes out • This will only support IE9 (Not IE7 or IE8) • Limited set of Modules Supported • Some enhancements and corrections included • Release notes available through RSS on user site • Customer will need to: • Upgrade Database • Add an OnBase 11 Web Server / App Server • Additional license will be granted by Hyland

IE9 and OnBase Compatibility Coming by Summer • OnBase 11 Release Web Server • IE7, IE8 and IE9 • Safari 5.x and Firefox 3.6 or higher • Chrome and Opera will not be supported • Most Modules Supported • Cross Platform • Windows and Mac • Over 1,900 Total Enhancements • Release notes available through RSS on user site

  8. OnBase 11 • OnBase 11 will not support IE6 • WorkView will be supported • OnBase Java Client • Support available to existing users • No New Installations • No Enhancements • Recommend the new Enhanced HTML Version • Improved Training, Internal Support • Consistency across Browsers
