  6. UBICACIÓN Y LÍMITES • SITUACIÓN: El pueblo incaico se ubicó en la mayor parte de América del Sur. Sur. • LÍMITES: En su época de apogeo, el Ta- huantinsuyo se extendió por el : • Norte hasta Pasto, Colombia, • Sur hasta el río Maule, en Chile, • Oeste hasta el océano Pacífico y por el • Este hasta los flancos del ramal Oriental. • CAPITAL: • Fue la ciudad del Cuzco; esta palabra significa ombligo o cen- tro de su mundo.

LAS DOS DINASTÍAS INCAICAS Los incas que gobernaron el Tahuantinsuyo se agruparon en dos dinastías incaicas: • HURIN CUZCO:significa Bajo Cuzco. • Manco Cápac (Jefe Poderoso) • Sinchi Roca (Demasiado Pode-roso) • Lloque Yupanqui (Zurdo me-morable) • Mayta Cápac (¿Dónde está el Poderoso?) • Cápac Yupanqui (Perdurable y Poderoso). • HANAN CUZCO: quiere de- cir Alto Cuzco. • Inca Roca (Ser Luminoso) • Yáhuar Huaca (El que llora sangre) • Wiracocha (Salvador del Impe- rio) • Pachacútec (El que transforma la Tierra) • Túpac Yupanqui (Resplandor Luminoso) • Huayna Cápac (Mozo Poderoso) • Huáscar (Cadena de Oro). Atahualpa no llegó a ceñirse la mascapaicha; en consecuencia, no fue un Inca de la estirpe real.

  8. Pachacútec, para poder gobernar mejor su imperio, lo dividió en cuatro suyos o grandes provincias ORGANIZACIÓN POLÍTICA INCAICA • Chinchaysuyo al Norte, • Collasuyo al Sur, • Antisuyo al Este y • Contisuyo al Oeste. • Cada suyo era dirigi- do por un Suyuyo Apoc o Gran Gober- nador.
