  4. All our sins and griefs to bear • Jesus’ love for us • (Isa 53:4-5) “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for ourtransgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

  5. All our sins and griefs to bear • (Gal 3:13-14) “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

  6. What a privilege to carry everything to God in Prayer • (Phil 4:6-7) “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication withthanksgivinglet your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” • We have the privilege to carry everything to God in Prayer

  7. What a privilege to carry everything to God in Prayer • (Eph 6:18) “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit.” • Need to always turn to God first in all things • (1 Peter 5:6-7) “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

  8. O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, • (Prov 15:29) “The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.” • (1 Peter 3:12) “For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.” • We have the privilege and ability to go to God, but many forfeit this privilege!

  9. All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer. • (James 4:2) “yet ye have not, because ye ask not” • If we don’t ask we’ll not receive • Must go to God, he’s our Strength! • (Ps 18:1-2) “I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.”

  10. Second Verse Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged, Take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful, Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness: Take it to the Lord in prayer.

  11. Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? • We will always have trials and temptations • (James 1:2-4) “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” • (James 1:14) “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.”

  12. We should never be discouraged, Take it to the Lord in prayer. • (1 Cor 10:13) “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” • (1 Peter 4:14) “If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.”

  13. Can we find a friend so faithful, Who will all our sorrows share? • (Heb 2:18) “For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.” • He can share in our sorrows

Jesus knows our every weakness: Take it to the Lord in Prayer • (Heb 4:15-16) “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

  17. Precious Savior, still our refuge, Take it to the Lord in Prayer • (1 Peter 2:6-7) “Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore which believe he is precious:” • (Ps 46:1-2) “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;”

  18. Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer; • (James 5:16) “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” • If we have a falling out we need to take it to the God.
