COMP 523 PROjects
Discover an innovative web application designed to streamline financial management for student groups. This solution addresses current inefficiencies in reimbursement processes, provides transparent accounting, and minimizes administrative overhead for universities. With dynamic access privileges and one-click withdrawals for authorized members, the app ensures secure transactions and full transaction transparency. Join us in creating a campus-wide standard that could potentially have national impact. Your contribution will be visible across UNC and Duke campuses!

What? • An innovative new solution to financial management for student groups • Fast, inexpensive, efficient, simple, transparent • An opportunity to build a web app that will become a campus-wide, and potentially nationwide standard in group accounting
Why? • Current best-practice is dated • Re-imbursement process is slow • Students required to front large group costs • Lack of transparency presents risk • High fees • Large administrative overhead for universities
How? • A web app that allows dynamic access privileges (catered to rapidly changing nature of groups) • One-click withdrawals for authorized members, with security checks in place • Full transaction history and account information available to registered group members
What’s in it for me? • This is not just a project, this is a business opportunity. • We will be working with UNC/Duke student gov’ts and administrations towards implementation. • i.e. Your work will be all over both campuses. • Firms interested in seeing a working model, potential partnerships if successful • National role out
