  1. Where in the world are we linked to?‘Diverse-city’ Early learning goal – People and communities. Children talk about past and present events in their own lives and in the lives of family members. They know that other children don’t always enjoy the same things, and are sensitive to this. They know about similarities and differences between themselves and others, and among families, communities and traditions. Where does my family have links to in the world? Look on the map. Share ideas from home on our likes, food, stories and family traditions. How are we different or the same? Visit to Liverpool Museum to explore our city of Liverpool and its links to the different cultures of the World. Visitors -Misoshi – Ghanian storyteller to our school. Poetry assembly with a writer. Football and flags – the World Cup. Outdoor Learning • Can you sequence the instructions for making a wind chime? • Skipping challenge • Can you make a game to score points? • Picnic area • Lanterns • Writing instructions or signs and labels • Minibeast maths • Money – match the coins, use to pay in the shop/café • Reading challenge
