  1. A Few Haunted Cemeteries In Massachusetts If Massachusetts is known for extraordinary landmarks, it is also known for plenty of Halloween history, and has many haunted cemeteries. These places have their own stories and give massive jolts to visitors. Here are a few haunted Cemeteries to explore: Dean Hill Road Cemetery, Fitchburg, Massachusetts This is a very old cemetery of Massachusetts. People who visit here often hear screams coming from all sides. Some people state that satanic rites were performed in the dense woods surrounding the barren cemetery, which makes it utterly quiet for several years. People who visited here feel terrifying by the absence of insect, bird as well as animal sounds.

  2. Quaker Cemetery in Leicester Quaker Cemetery is also known as Spider Gates Cemetery. It has 8 gates, each is said to be creepier than the last. At the very first gate, people can hear dizzying whispers and experience leaves flying around without a blow of wind. By the 8th gate, people feel someone walk quickly behind them. Throughout the Quaker cemetery there are sightings of people walking, or even ghosts sitting on grave markers. Isn’t it terrifying?

  3. Hill Burial Ground – Newburyport, Massachusetts This old graveyard is nearly abandoned, which makes it even more haunted. Some people call it their worst spooky nightmare. According to some people, a series of brick tunnels lead to the centre of town and down to the old wharf area, which is a sort of mystery for people.

  4. Elder Ballou Cemetery – Cumberland, Rhode Island This ancient cemetery in Rhode Island is tucked away on a hill, which makes it even more horrific. Visitors to the cemetery often report that they feel someone is watching them. The old cemetery looks quite weird because of its uncombed grounds, rugged terrain, old gravestones and ungroomed bushes growing in a slapdash way. Visitors have reported seeing the ghost of a man in grey meandering the ground, which vanishes in the air upon approaching.
