  1. ¡Bienvenidos a la clase de español! COURSE OBJECTIVES • To help each student attain an acceptable degree of proficiency in the four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. • To present the language within the context of the contemporary Spanish speaking world and its culture.

  2. Requirements • A well kept and complete notebook to be used for notes, homework and classwork exercises. You may choose the type of notebook that you feel will keep you the most organized. • A Spanish/English dictionary is highly recommended. • Textbook

  3. Class Rules • Come to class on time. Be seated and ready to work when the bell rings. • Come prepared to class. (text, notebook, pen or pencil, homework, etc.) • Complete all assignments AT HOME! Be sure to make up missed assignments/tests. • It is your responsibility to ask for extra help when needed. • Remain in your seat until the bell rings. • Cheating will not be tolerated. • Rudeness towards me or other students will not be tolerated.

  4. Grading Major tests---60% Homework---15% Papelitos---15% (you will receive a “papelito” EVERY DAY!) 9 weeks test---10% Don’t forget about “TICKS” If you raise your hand in class you will receive credit for your participation. I will add a “tick” next to your name. For every 30 “ticks” that you accumulate each nine weeks, I will average in an extra 100 as a MAJOR TEST GRADE!
