Location Overview and Directions Wilmette Harbor and the Sheridan Shore Yacht Club are located at 20 Harbor Drive, Wilmette Illinois, 60091 at the South end of Gillson Park Wilmette Illinois is approximately 20 miles North of downtown Chicago From the North on I-94, exit at Skokie Blvd (SR 41) and turn left onto Lake Ave. East From the South on I-94, exit right at Lake Ave. East Proceed east on Lake Ave almost 3 miles, turn right at the light on Sheridan road Your second left is Harbor Drive, follow the signs to the Yacht club, the Harbor’s boat launch, and registration N

Additional advice on parking will be available at the registration table Parking Information • Parking within Gillson Park is allowed as follows: • Along Middle Drive, free to all autos • Along Overlook Drive, only with local resident permit • Beach parking lot allows parking with $7 day parking pass on weekends, available 9AM to Noon Parking within Gilson Park, along Overlook Drive, along Middle Drive, and at the Gilson Park Beach parking lot (accessed from Lake Ave entrance) will all be allowed with a a permit that you can pick up at registration Parking within Gilson Park, along Overlook Drive, along Middle Drive, and at the Gilson Park Beach parking lot (accessed from Lake Ave entrance) will all be allowed with a a permit that you can pick up at registration Beach parking, access from Lake Ave N Harbor parking lot will be for trailers and boats only Parking along Michigan Ave is allowed without permits, but not overnight Wilmette does not allow overnight camper use on any of its streets, but cars with out of state plates can be left overnight unless otherwise indicated

  5. General Information • Registration/Welcome: There will be a registration table on Friday afternoon and on Saturday morning at the Yacht Club when you arrive. You will be able to get additional information there beyond the contents of this document if you need it. • Weather: For weather updates, you should check zip code 60091, and there is a coastal/marine forecast for Lake Michigan with wind and wave projections made for the area. • Gillson Park: The Sheridan Shore Yacht Club and Wilmette Harbor are part of Gillson Park, a beautiful combination of a green space and beach park, including • Gillson swimming beach (day passes available) • Gillson beach – free, but no swimming • Gillson sailing beach – catamaran, Sunfish, Kayak rentals • Tennis courts, playgrounds, BBQ and picnic areas, ball fields, dog beach, fishing from the harbor jetties/piers, etc. • For additional info, please consult http://www.wilmettepark.org/gillson.cfm
