  3. compression • A compression is the party of the sound wave where the particles are bunched together.

  5. frequency • The frequency of a wave is the number of waves that pass a point in a certain amount of time.

  9. pitch • A pitch is what makes a sound seem high or low.

  11. reflection • Reflection occurs when light rays bounce, or reflect, from a surface back to our eyes.

  13. transparent • If something is transparent, light rays pass through it. You can clearly see what is on the other side.

  15. translucent • Materials that let some light through but scatter other rays are translucent. The other side looks blurry.
