  2. Vocabulary Pattern Maker: One who makes patterns, as for sewing, carpentry, or industrial machinery. Fashion Design: is creating (sewing) new clothing designs and selling, and or wearing them. Fashion shows are great to accompany your designs. Fit-Model: is a person who is used by a fashion designer or clothing manufacturer to check the fit, drape and visual appearance of a design on a 'real' human being, effectively acting as a live mannequin. Freelance Designer: Artist, writer, producer, director, or advertising person who works independently on a job-by-job basis. (Such a person is known as a free-lancer.) They don't say anything about pay, so a contest counts as far as I am concerned. Merchandising: The activity of promoting the sale of goods.

Apparel Designer-Children • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or Design • Experience: 5-7 years of children’s clothing experience • Description: Strong knowledge of fabric construction, fabric finishing, and garment construction • Location: Southern California • Demonstrated knowledge of the children’s clothing market.

  4. VP Business Development • Education: BS/BA required, MBA preferred • Experience: 5 years minimum experience in a senior business development in the online marketing world (global experience a plus). • Description: Lead the efforts in identifying and developing new business opportunities, as well as creating and managing collaborative relationships. • Location: El Segundo, CA • Salary: Salary, bonus, stock • Segment: Internet, Entertainment, Apparel & Fashion

  5. Personal Shopping • Education: BA/BS required • Experience: 2 –3 years personal shopping experience • Description: Spend an amount of their time on the selling floor focused on Driving Sales Volume and prepare a Service Environment. • Location: New York, NY

  6. ASSOCIATE TECHNICAL DESIGNER- Denim • Education: AA Degree a plus. • Experience: 2-3 years experience in Fit Technician with Denim experience • Description: Responsible for measuring all types of garment. Work well & closely with fit technician & designer • Location: Los Angeles, CA • Multi-task

  7. Research & Development • Education: Bachelors Degree in related major. • Experience: 3-5 yrs. of experience in design &/or product development • Description: Research silhouette, fabric, leather, print, trim and color seasonally. • Location: New York, NY • Eye for color & print selection

  8. Thing I Noticed: • Trends: In most of these jobs you need a bachelors degree & A lot of experience. • Its takes a lot for a bog corporate job.
