  7. Typical Application • Name and Address Information.Educational Information. • Tests. This section usually asks which tests you will take (ACT, SAT, THEA) and when you will take them. You may also be asked to report your score on tests already taken. • Residency. This information helps the school determine if you are a state resident. Most states have residency rules, which require you to have lived in the state for a certain period of time before being eligible for the in-state tuition rate. • Extracurricular Activities. This section refers to your talents and honors, any community service you may done, and your employment history. • Essays. Essays are not required by all colleges. EVERYONE MUST APPLY FOR COLLEGE, VO-TECH or/and UNIVERITY!THEN complete ONE of the following tasks: • Fill out one or more post-secondary education (college, university, vo-tech etc.) applications and keep a copy (attach file or take a picture) in your e-portfolio (DO NOT PUT IN PERSONAL INFORMATION for your portfolio) • Scan or take a picture of two or more acceptance letters. • Find a college essay prompt. Write your essay.
