Manpower Planning Survey 2006 Overview Launched in February 2006 as a project of the Academe- Industry Collaboration Committee of 2006 Main Results • Difficulty hiring for entry-level positions in: • accounting and finance, • sales (especially for pharmaceutical and consumer companies), • certain IT and engineering positions, • customer service.

  6. 2008 Human Resource Benchmark Survey • Hiring, Positions and Turnover: • 75% of respondents: less than 100 new hires for the year • 16% of respondents: 101-500 new hires for the year • Actual Hiring versus Projections: • 76% of businesses actually hired less than 100 • 15%: 100-500 actual hires for the year • On the main reasons why companies hired: • Replacement of Turnover – 39% • Expansion/ Growth – 28% • Others – 18%

AVP: Book Smart is not Enough Objective of the AVP • Highlight the behavioral skills and motivate the viewer to develop the skills • Presented in medium which audience can relate to increase retention and to adopt to the mindset of the youth • Target audience are freshmen college students and fourth year high school students
