  2. Recap • If we are going to live out of the Bible, we must settle in our minds and hearts that the Bible is God’s written Word. • This is ultimately more of a matter of Lordship than scholarship.

  3. Recap • We must also come to understand that if the Bible is God’s Word that it sits in judgment ultimately over every other way of knowing. • While we accept the Bible by faith, it is not a blind faith. There are good reasons for us to trust the Word

  4. Recap • The Bible is uniquely powerful • Written over 1,500 years, 3 continents, 40 different authors • Has a unity; Unique in presentation of God; has power to change lives.

  9. The Bible Is BeautifullyPreserved • The Early Translations • Christianity has always been a missionary faith. • They sought to put the Bible into the language of the people they were seeking to reach

  10. The Bible Is BeautifullyPreserved • By comparing these with Greek manuscripts we know: • Translations come from an original source • They took care to get the translations right • The Bible was complete early on.
