Informationen WAS ist English for Business? • „English for Business”-Examen : fünf Stufen: Vorstufe bis Fortgeschrittenenstufe (Preliminary – Level 4) praxisorientierte Prüfung (angeglichen an den Euro- päischen Referenzrahmen) Überprüfung der geschäftlichen Kommunikations- fähigkeiten: Verfassen von Geschäftsdokumenten wie z.B. Briefe, Merkblätter und Berichte • schriftliche Pflichtprüfung & optionale mündliche Prüfung

  4. Informationen WESHALB LCCI IQ? Wer ein Zertifikat der LCCI IQ vorlegen kann, beweist seine Kenntnisse auf internationalanerkanntem Sprachniveau und die Möglichkeit der Nutzung derselben in Geschäftssituationen. Ein LCCI IQ „English for Business Stufe 3“ Zertifikat wird von einer großen Anzahl von Universitäten als Beleg für die zur Immatrikulation erforderliche Englischquali-fikation erachtet.

Informationen WANN kann ich eine LCCI IQ Qualifikation erhalten? • Alle LCCI IQ Zertifikatsprüfung auf Anfrage (On Demand) • Examensdaten völlig flexibel • Prüfungen können für einen beliebigen Kurs zu einer beliebigen Zeit am Amplonius arrangiert werden. • Die Anmeldung für ‚On Demand' Examen muss 4 Wochen vor dem Examensdatum erfolgen.

Informationen WIE werden die SchülerInnen auf die Prüfung vorbereitet? • halbjähriges AG-Angebot zur Vorbereitung auf die Prüfung (90 Min./14-tägig) oder Blockseminar nach Absprache • Bearbeitung von Übungsmaterial • Bearbeitung von Original-Prüfungs-klausuren der Vorjahre (sog. Past Paper Packs) • Häusliche Nach-/Vorbereitung erforder-lich (ca. 2 Std./Woche)

Aufgabenbeispiel EXAM LEVEL 1 (Jgst. 10-11) QUESTION 1 Situation You have received a complaint from the Finance Department of your company, Wentworth Insurance, about the rising costs of telephone calls made by your department, which deals with telephone sales. Sales Staff are allowed to make urgent personal calls only, but some staff are making personal calls that are not urgent. The Finance Department asks you to take action to deal with the problem. Task Write a memo of between 150 and 200 words to all Sales Staff about the complaint. Tell them, in a tactful manner, what they are allowed to do and what is not allowed, giving examples. Ask for the rules to be followed, and point out the consequences if non-urgent calls are made in the future.
