  1. DESKTOP PUBLISHING PORTFOLIO PROJECT Created by Sharon Floyd West Memphis High School

  2. Introduction: • You are going to create a business in which you have an interest and prepare documents that you will be needing in your business. • You are going to print these forms and create a portfolio. • You will present these to the class upon completion.

  3. Purpose of Project: • Develop workplace skills including teamwork • Demonstrate creativity • Apply critical thinking skills • Demonstrate knowledge gained from desktop publishing class

  4. Documents to be Created: • Letterhead and Envelope with company logo • Mail/Merge--Letter of Introduction and Mailing List of 10 Potential Customers • Advertisement to Enclose with Letter of Introduction—Must include your picture taken with digital camera • Table of Prices or Services with Logo • PowerPoint Presentation to Introduce Company to Potential Clients • Business Cards • Address Labels

  5. Other Documents: • Banner—Must include a scanned picture of you • Invoice (Word Template) • Purchase Order (Word Template) • Interoffice Memo (Word Template) • Brochure (Publisher) • Any Other Forms You Might Need (Be Creative)
