  1. TemitopeAgoro My homemade Incandescent light bulb Period: 2B

  2. The Problem • I want to make my own incandescent light bulb using materials that I have gathered and I want it to be as bright as a normal light bulb.

  3. Brainstorming

  4. Citations • http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Light-Bulb • http://www.stevespanglerscience.com/lab/experiments/build-a-light-bulb-circuit-science • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5q7mCiCUw2s

  5. Design Proposal • My design includes a 6V battery which is attached to 2 copper wires. The copper wires then travel through a cork stopper and then are connected to an iron wire. A glass jar is then placed over the cork stopper along with the copper wire connected to the iron wire.

  6. Design Proposal

  7. Conclusion After testing my experiment myriad times it did not work. I believe that it did not work because instead of using iron wire as the filament I used black bobby pins. But the temperature of the battery rose to extremely high temperatures. Also the filament I used was very hot but not hot enough to shine bright. I plan to go and purchase iron wire to confirm my belief.
