Program Requirement Introduction • Obstetric anesthesiology is the subspecialty of anesthesiology devoted to the comprehensive anesthetic management of women during pregnancy and the puerperium. • 12-month in length
Program Requirements • Institution • ACGME anesthesiology and OB-Gyne core residencies, MFM fellowship
Program Requirements • Program Personnel and Resources • Program director qualifications • ABA-certified • OB fellowship or at least 3-years’ participation in an OB fellowship program as PD or faculty • Current faculty appointment • Based at primary teaching site • 50% time OB anesthesia (clinical, education, research) including 20% administrative time
