  9. Necessities • Clothing: New socks and underpants once a month, maybe new T-shirts. $25. I’m not fancy. • Food: $100 a week at supermarket. Probably and additional $50 a week for eating out.

  10. Household items and Hygiene • Toiletries: $40 • Haircuts: $30 every 2 months.

  11. Gifts • 2 parents, 1 brother, 9 cousins, 5 of whom I like. Assuming I spend an average of $10 for each birthday and Christmas, $160 a year.

  12. Total: by the month • Housing: $539 • Living expenses: $141 • Entertainment: $233 • Necessities: $175 • Household items: $55 • Gifts and other: Roughly $15 • Total: $1,158 spent per month. I make $1,275 a month. $117 leftover. Success.
