What is IGCSE? • IGCSE stands for International General Certificate of Secondary Education. • The IGCSE exam is taken in over 100 countries in both international schools and institutions that cater for the local population. • the IGCSE were introduced in 1988 as a replacement of the O levels in many countries.

  3. What is on the ICT exam? • There are 3 papers that are taken in the IGCSE ICT exam. • Paper 1: its tests sections 1-8 of the curriculum that assesses your assessment skills. There are 100 marks and counts as 40 % of your total. The time limit is 2 hours. • Paper 2 : it is a practical test assessing your knowledge skills and understanding. There are 80 marks and it counts as 30% of your total. The time limit is 2.5 hours. • Paper 3: it is also a practical test of knowledge skill and understanding. There are 80 marks and counts as 30% of your total.

  4. What are the ICT IGCSE changes for May 2011 • They are going to get harder each year. • It is said that the exams are still easy and they need to make them harder. • Each year the exam might get harder.
