  5. Move-a-thon • The Move-a-thon will be March 8th, 2013 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm • Fundraising envelopes will be sent out in the next week. • House point will be gained by those houses that raise the most money. • Funds will support or Basketball Courts on the blacktop

  6. Food Sales at GGSPS • Food may be purchased in the front foyer from 8:30 – 8:50 • Monday – Pizza Day • Tuesday – Pita Day • Wednesday – Pizza Day • Thursday – Subway • Friday – Special Food Day

  7. Reminder to Students • You are required to serve a detention in Room 106 every time you are late if you have accumulated 3 or more unauthorized late arrivals to school since January 7th, 2013. 10 unauthorized late arrivals to school will cause you to miss out on a special event at school. • You will be reminded during afternoon announcements. Students are to make arrangements for an alternate time to serve their detention in room 106 if they cannot attend in the afternoon.

  15. SPARK Students, sign up for SPARK! Participate in physical activity, receive academic support and get a nutritious breakfast all for free. The SPARK program is held every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8:00 am to 8:45 am starting March 26th. Please see Ms. Hunter in Room 200 for more info.

  16. Century Garden Sports Program Century Gardens, in association with the Ministry or Tourism, Culture and Sport, is offering the opportunity for students to participate in an afterschool program. The program runs on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 3-6pm. Students interested can get a form in the office.

  17. Bellas and Kings • A new program at GGSPS to promote social development for select students. • It will employ a team of Motivational Speakers, Professional Artists, Social Workers and Life Skills Coaches specialize in inspiring a students through several sessions over an 10 week period starting Wednesday April 3rd, 2013. .

  18. GGSPS Move-A-Thon • The GGSPS Move-a-thon raised over $2570 • This money will go towards helping improve the multi-use play area in the back of GGSPS. This will include the installation of several basketball nets for community use. • We have already received a grant from Peel Public Health to assist with this as well.
