Peer Pressure’s pluses and minuses • Kids lose their individuality by dressing like their peers with all the pressure to fit in • Constant Peer Pressure can harm people’s ability to think for themselves, if their friends are always telling them what to do, especially if its negative advice like pressure to shoplift, or smoke • Peer pressure can also be good, like having friends who support your decisions and back you up • Peers can set positive examples too like doing good in school, participating in different activities, and you gain social skills by being around your peers, which is helpful later in life
