  3. What is A Hanbok? A Hanbok is a traditional dress for the country Korea. It was worn a very long time ago in the BCs. That was when in America there were Native Americans and in England people had royal kings and queens. We didn`t only wear it back then, we wear this nowadays for ceremonies and festivals. We also wear this to weddings! Slide 1

  4. What is a Hanbok (Continued) It has many colors such as red, blue, pink, yellow, black, white and so on. Unusually this dress has no pockets! Even for men. This was worn by the Kings, Queens and civil of Korea. To this certain dress women would have different hair styles and so did men, they would also wear hats sometimes! Read to the next slide if you want to find out more! Slide 2

  5. The description of Hanbok The Hanbok can be worn on anyone, it goes with everything. I will first talk about the ladies` Hanbok. The one we girls wear have to separate parts, the shirt ( Jeogori) and the skirt (Chima). On the sleeves for the little girls (modern) there will sometimes be some stripes or the dress will be in very bright colours. Slide 3

  6. The description of Hanbok (Continues) Now the boy’s. The men and boy`s dress long time ago had more girlish colours like pink and red. These colours were royal colours. But these days the dress would have more boyish colours like blue or green. But sometimes those girlish colours would be on that dress. The boy hanbok has 2 different parts. The jeogori (shirt) and baji (pants). Slide 4

  7. Different kinds of Hanbok • Junchimak • Hackchangui • Simui • Dopo • Gonyrongpo • Hongryongpo • Hwangryongpo • Gangsapo • Hwangwonsam • Hwarot Slide 5

  8. Modern hanbok (Girls) The modern Hanbok for girls are usually the fake design. Long time ago the hanboks never ever had strips, they didn`t have that much pink on it. And some rare ones have a totally different length. The jeogori is more longer and like a jacket and the chima is more like a sleeveless dress. So it looks more functional and it is easy to wear and to walk around with it on. Slide 6

  9. Modern HANBOK (Boys) The boys Hanbok has a very uncomfortable part. The end of the pants (baji). That time you had tie the end and make it very tight and you had to know how to fold and tie in a special way. But these days there is a button or zippers for you! And also it is easier to wear it, and the boy hanbok has lots of layers and you have to put them on and off. But designers have put them all together in one! And the hanbok has become more colourful.
