Join a unique research opportunity to construct and analyze a geographic database of ancient floras in Madagascar, a critical biodiversity hotspot. This project compares the Nymphaeaceae family with ancient plant lineages across Africa, India, Australia, and Southeast Asia. Gain hands-on experience in mapping, bioinformatics, phylogenetics, and spatial and statistical analysis. This program is from mid-June to mid-August 2008 and offers 3 credit hours in Biology. For more information, please contact Dr. Boucher at boucher@unomaha.edu.
