  1. *Outcome*: Explain the similarities and differences between the Assyrian Empire and the Chaldean Empire. Before:When you think of an Empire what do you think of? Is the United States of American an Empire?

  2. During: Complete a Venn diagram explaining the similarities and differences between the Assyrians and the Chaldeans. • Students will pair up and read Chapter 1 Section 3 before filling out the Graphic Organizer. Once everyone has finished each group will share with the class their results.
